
There is a shit load of content, opinions and communication about this topic…but has it gone too far and is getting out of balance?
In my opinion…YES!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for diversity and inclusiveness, but not at the sacrifice of business performance and its culture.
Jim Collins talks about “getting the RIGHT people on the bus” is critical for great businesses, but how can you do this effectively if you are focused on diversity and inclusion as the number one priority?
As a small business owner, make sure you are crystal clear on your people structure, the responsibilities, outcomes and performance metrics for each role.
Then hire the right person, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion and age.
Let’s bring back the conversations to a more balanced approach.
